Cyberpsychiatry

Cyberpsychology (also known as Internet psychology, web psychology, or digital psychology) is a developing field that encompasses all psychological phenomena associated with or affected by emerging technology. Cyber comes from the word cyberspace, the study of the operation of control and communication; psychology is the study of the mind and behaviour.

There are a number of books available in the field of cyberpsychology, but few study the psychiatric aspects, ie, dealing with mental health problems arising from the misuse of cyberspace, for example internet addiction, cyberbullying, cyberstalking, cyberchondria, and revenge porn.
