Terms and conditions for gift cards and discount vouchers.
§1 Preliminary provisions.
These Regulations specify the rules for using gift cards and vouchers/discount codes in the Medyceusz Sp. store. Jawna with its registered office in Gdańsk at ul. Hoene-Wrońskiego 1
§2 Definitions
1. Discount Voucher - sold by Medyceusz Sp. Jawna with its registered office in Gdańsk at ul. Hoene-Wrońskiego 1, in the form of a code (unique string of characters), entitling the Holder to a discount when purchasing books offered for sale in the Online Store www.medbook.com.pl;
2. Gift Card – sold by Medyceusz Sp. Jawna with its registered office in Gdańsk at ul. Hoene-Wrońskiego 1, in paper form, image file or code (unique string of characters) authorizing the Holder to make payments for the Goods offered for sale in the Online Store
3. Buyer – a natural person or entrepreneur purchasing a Gift Card or a Discount Voucher.
4. Holder - the person redeeming the Gift Card or Discount Voucher.
5. Online Store - a website where goods are offered for sale, operating in the domain www.medbook.com.pl.
6. Issuer of the Gift Card/Discount Voucher – means the seller specified in the store regulations.
7. Goods - books presented for sale via the Online Store, which may be the subject of a discount activated using a Discount Voucher or payment using a Gift Card.
§3 General conditions
1. The Publisher offers Gift Cards or Discount Vouchers in the form of discount codes. For each Gift Card or Discount Voucher, the Buyer pays the appropriate nominal value of the Discount Voucher.
2. The Buyer undertakes to transfer funds to the Issuer in an amount equal to the nominal value of the Gift Card or Discount Voucher.
3. The Publisher undertakes to provide the Buyer with a Gift Card or Discount Voucher and to accept payments using the Gift Card or to grant appropriate discounts for books purchased by the Holder.
4. The Gift Card or Discount Voucher may only be used to purchase books in the Seller's Online Store.
5. The Gift Card or Discount Voucher cannot be exchanged for cash (in whole or in part). The Buyer is entitled to a consumer refund under the terms set out in the Regulations.
6. The validity period and value (nominal value) of a Gift Card or Discount Voucher are determined individually. The validity period runs from the moment the Gift Card or Discount Voucher is delivered to the Buyer.
7. The issuance of a Gift Card does not constitute a sale subject to value added tax (VAT) within the meaning of applicable tax law. The sales document is issued at the time of purchase of the Goods.
8. The issuance of a Discount Voucher constitutes a sale subject to value added tax (VAT) and the sales document is issued at the time of its purchase.
9. The purchase of Gift Cards or Discount Vouchers is possible via the website or after directly agreeing the terms (denomination, validity period) with the seller. §4 Redeeming a Gift Card or Discount Voucher
The holder of a Gift Card or Discount Voucher has the right to redeem it on the following terms:
1. The Discount Voucher entitles you to a discount for Goods purchased in the Online Store, and the Gift Card entitles you to make payment for the purchased Goods.
2. The holder of a Gift Card or Discount Voucher may use the amount assigned to the Gift Card or the discount amount assigned to the Discount Voucher in whole or in part, only when purchasing books available in the online store www.medbook.com.pl. Shipping costs cannot be paid for with a Gift Card or Discount Voucher. The unused part of the amount or discount remains active until the end of the validity of the Gift Card or Discount Voucher.
3. The Gift Card or Discount Voucher is activated by the Holder by entering the received code (or the code placed on the Gift Card) in the appropriate place in the order fulfillment system at www.medbook.com.pl.
4. In the event of purchasing a Good with a value higher than the value of the Gift Card or higher than the value of the discount assigned to the Discount Voucher, the Holder is obliged to pay the difference.
5. The Gift Card or Discount Voucher has an expiration date, after which it becomes invalid. The validity period of the Gift Card or Discount Voucher does not change. After the expiry date of the Gift Card or Discount Voucher, payment using it will not be possible/the discount will not be charged.
§5 Complaints
1. All complaints related to the purchase of goods using a Discount Card or a Discount Voucher will be considered by the Issuer in accordance with the complaint procedure specified in the Regulations of the Online Store located on the "returns and complaints" website.
§6 Return of an unused Gift Card or Discount Voucher
1. A consumer return of a Gift Card or a Discount Voucher is only available to the Buyer who is a consumer within the meaning of the provisions of the Civil Code or an entrepreneur running a sole proprietorship (only in relation to purchases not related to his professional activity) on the terms set out in the Regulations of the Online Store. In the case of other entrepreneurs, the terms of possible returns are determined individually.
§7 Return of goods purchased using a Gift Card or Discount Voucher.
1. The right to return goods purchased using a Gift Card or Discount Voucher is granted on the terms set out in the Regulations, and the amount used from the Gift Card or the amount of the discount granted, after the return, will be credited again to the Gift Card or Discount Voucher previously used by the Holder. Reloading a Gift Card or Discount Voucher as a result of a return does not extend its original validity period.
§7 Final provisions
- The Buyer is obliged to inform the Holder about the terms and conditions of redeeming the Gift Card or Discount Voucher.
- The purchase of a Gift Card or a Discount Voucher by the Buyer and its presentation by the Holder is tantamount to acceptance of these Regulations by the Buyer and the Holder.
- In matters not regulated in these Regulations, the provisions of the Civil Code and other acts shall apply.
- The Publisher reserves the right to change the Regulations on Gift Cards or Discount Vouchers at any time. All changes are effective from the date of their introduction by the Publisher, after the amended Regulations are made available for viewing on the Online Store website, and will apply to Gift Cards or Discount Vouchers purchased after the changes to the Discount Vouchers Regulations come into force.
