A textbook of applied basic science for the MRCS. It covers all the relevant sciences - anatomy, physiology and pathology - but in the format of the MRCS syllabus. It is divided into the same structure of core modules and system modules and revises the sciences accordingly. It concentrates throughout on the application of these sciences and (in the system chapters) includes text on the clinical features of the surgery as relevant to the science.
