Description
The first chapter provides an overview of the current knowledge on degradation of natural compounds and xenobiotics via Pleurotus fungi, especially focusing on the involvement of metabolic pathways and the cataclysmic properties of the enzymes. In the second chapter, Maura Téllez-Téllez and Gerardo Díaz-Godínez discuss the fungus Pleurotus ostreatus and its nutritious properties and therapeutic applications.
