In this issue of Veterinary Clinics:: Exotic Animal Practice, guest editor Dr. Shangzhe Xie brings his considerable expertise to the topic of Exotic Animal Practice Around the World. As exotic animal ownership increases throughout the world, exotic animal practice has truly become an international endeavor. There are many veterinary differences among countries, however, including variables such as culture, legislation, availability of therapeutics, medical equipment, and timely diagnostic testing options. This issue explores these global differences, with the hope that veterinarians in one part of the world can utilize the lessons from another part of the world to improve their practice.
