Urologic Disorders: Adult and Pediatric Care

Urologic Disorders:: Nursing Management will serve as a primary reference for the urologic nurse. It also will provide a detailed resource for any staff nurse who cares for patients with urologic disorders. The book will include detailed chapters on urinary incontinence, which will appeal to the urologic and the Wound, Ostomy and Continence (WOC) nurse interested in voiding disorders. The book will also provide a valuable reference for the WOC nurse because of its emphasis on urologic cancers and the continent and incontinent urinary diversions frequently used to treat specific urologic cancers. Content will reflect the shift from hospital-based care to nursing management in outpatient and home settings. In addition, structured nursing management plans will be included to demonstrate and facilitate application of the evidence base underpinning specific nursing treatment options.
