A sub-speciality defining text, written by one of the world leaders in this field and head of Europes foremost centre of thoracic pathology. It is designed to capitalise on the success of other major pathology titles such as MacSweens Pathology of the Liver 3/e. It will be similar to MacSween in size and feel, with mostly full colour illustrations and an attractive format.

Thoracic pathology is a relatively small, but nonetheless important part of the pathologists workload. This book will provide a comprehensive overview of all of the conditions, both common and rare, which are likely to encountered by the practising pathologist on a day-to-day basis.

The book will have a very practical slant, covering aetiology, epidemiology, differential diagnosis (and diagnostic pitfalls) and prognosis and management in a concise style. Information on specimen handling will be included in an appendix and the text will be broken up throughout with liberal use of algorithms, tables and many high quality full colour illustrations.
