Cisplatin is a platinum-based anticancer drug and widely used for the treatment of human testicular, ovarian, bladder, cervical, head and neck, and small cell lung cancers. Its anticancer activity results from the modification of DNA through covalent cross-linkings or platinum (Pt)-DNA adducts.
