This issue moves away from the standard treatise on diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, and instead will address the some of the issues facing breast cancer medicine as we move into the future. Articles will address new technologies (immunotherapy, non-surgical ablation, biomarkers, and molecular predictors) and health care disparities (treatment in older women, and the quality of early-stage treatment, and underserved populations).
