Bladder cancer refers to any of several types of malignant growths of the urinary bladder. It is a disease in which abnormal cells multiply without control in the bladder. The most common type of bladder cancer begins in cells lining the inside of the bladder and is called transitional cell carcinoma. This book reviews research in the study of bladder cancer including recent advances in intravesical therapy for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer; molecular and genetic mechanisms in defining distinct genetic pathways of bladder cancer, and molecular proteins in urothelial carcinoma.
Preface; Recurrence, Progression, Adjuvant Treatment & Follow-Up in Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer; Conservative Management of Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer after Bacillus Calmette-Guérin Failure; Recent Advances in Intravesical Therapy for Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer; Genetic & Molecular Mechanisms in Bladder Cancer Development; Investigation of Molecular Proteins for Urothelial Carcinoma in the Urinary Bladder; Robot-Assisted Laparoscopic Radical Cystectomy for Bladder Cancer; Therapeutic Effect of Immediate Intravesical Instillation of Mitomycin C after Transurethral Resection in Patients with Low Risk Non-Muscle-Invasive Bladder Tumours; Detection & genotyping by microarray of Human Papillomavirus in tissue of bladder & bladder carcinoma biopsy; Digital Image Analysis in Research & Diagnosis of Urinary Bladder Cancer; Pleiotropic Effects of a Micronutrient Mixture on Critical Parameters of Bladder Cancer; Index.
