Patient Care Standards

For nearly 25 years, Patient Care Standardshas provided both students and practicing nurses with comprehensive guidelines for planning and implementing patient care in todays dynamic health care environment. The book is organized by body systems and covers both disorders and diagnostic and surgical procedures. Additional standards are included for many nursing diagnoses and for general care of patients with special needs. Each standard includes sections for assessment, multidisciplinary management (including therapeutic management and nursingmanagement), patient/family teaching, and home care considerations. Expected outcomes are included for each patient problem/nursing diagnosis. The seventh edition has been updated thoroughly throughout to reflect changes in practice and to incorporate the latest (13th conference) NANDA nursing diagnoses.
