In this issue of Neurosurgery Clinics, guest editors Drs. P.B. Raksin and Laura B. Ngwenya bring their considerable expertise to the topic of Neurocritical Care of Trauma. Critical care management of individuals who have experienced a traumatic insult to the brain and/or spinal cord is essential in the acute phase post-injury to ensure appropriate resuscitation, support operative interventions, and mitigate the risk of secondary insults. This issue will review aspects of clinical care as well as explore topics of interest with respect to medical ethics and systems of care delivery.
