Telemedicine architecture and technology are interoperable Telemedicine platforms, connecting IoT devices with cloud infrastructures. Telemedicine architectures demand a modular approach, communication modules to handle data flow between different hardware and software modules, identification of involved stakeholders, current and expected user needs, IoT and user interaction devices, and functionality involving cloud and edge computing. Thus, the IoMT paradigm needs to deliberate on cloud infrastructure tools such as centralized data repository, advanced data analytics, user interface, and healthcare services.
Telemedicine has already demonstrated its relevance in academia, industry, and other domains of business through its key characteristics/features, though it appears that there is a scarcity of research that explores different concepts related to Telemedicine. This book targets researchers, academicians, practitioners, and learners who wish to delve into Telemedicine systems.
